Despite not being gay myself, I find that these things are important. Conservatives will often harp on the fact that us lefties are ambivalent about flag-waving and the Pledge of Allegiance, but make no mistake; we take the words “liberty and justice for all” very seriously. It’s not “liberty and justice for most of us”.
